Remember: A person can dial 911 from any cellular telephone even if it
is not active. All that is needed is power and a signal.
Our Civilian Dispatchers provide around-the-clock-coverage in our
Communications Division under the supervision of Michelle Murray. They
utilize the state-of-the-art CAD system to enter all information received from
a 911 or non-emergency caller into the computer by a Dispatcher. The CAD
tracks all information, including the time the call was received and the time
it was dispatched. Such data is then available for future reference and as information to units responding to the
same address on subsequent calls for service. Our Dispatchers respond to a wide variety of situations with
poise and professionalism.
