A:
Catskill
Area Hospice is a Medicare

and families coping with terminal
illness, with a focus on quality of
life. Care is generally provided in the
patient's home, but Catskill Area
Hospice has contracts with area nursing
homes and hospitals where care can be
provided. In addition, some hospitals
have special hospice rooms for brief
in-patient stays to provide symptom
control and respite care.

Area Hospice provides expert
pain and symptom control, skilled
nursing, home health aide care, medical
equipment, medicine, and supplies
related to the terminal illness,

visit with patients and provide
caregivers a temporary break from their
