Medicaid provides payment directly to medical care providers, health care professionals, hospitals, and institutions for needed medical care and services to eligible persons. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients’ Medicaid matters are handled at Medicaid ID cards are issued for all eligible persons in household.

Staff person offers older adults unbiased health insurance counseling through the Health Insurance Information, Counseling, and Assistance Program (HIICAP). Assists with prescription drug coverage options, including EPIC, Medicare’s new Prescription Drug Benefit, retiree plans, and drug assistance programs. Counseling by appointment. Free service.

Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Programs help persons without prescription coverage obtain prescription medication for chronic health conditions at little/no cost. Helps client apply for these programs. This is not an emergency program.
