Provides unpaid family caregivers a personal break. Volunteers do friendly visiting, take family member to appointments and can provide transportation for errands. This service is free.

This is a free support program for patients and families coping with a serious, progressive illness. Choices does not include nursing services, but does offer a variety of support services delivered by a unique team of professionals and volunteers. They can assist patients and families facing difficult and confusing healthcare decisions, offering counseling about healthcare choices, help in determining preferences and care goals, assistance with healthcare planning, information about home health services and long-term care options and information on hospice services. Choices volunteers can provide respite breaks for caregivers, assistance with errands or helping with household chores, limited transportation and companionship.

A supervised, medical adult day program provided at Fox’s Adult Day Center. Activities, nutritious meals, companionship, nursing, and rehabilitative therapies are available.

A Respite Care program which helps provide a break for caregivers while assuring quality healthcare for their patients. The program allows caregivers to take a long vacation, a short break or get a much-needed rest from their duties in providing daily care for individuals, often family members, in order to prevent “burnout.”
Patients in the program receive 24-hour nursing care and are placed under the supervision of the attending physician at the hospital. A PRI/Screen from Public Health is needed prior to admission.  Must be medically appropriate.  Participants in the Respite Care program also have access to all hospital activities. The program allows caregivers to take a long vacation, a short break or get a much-needed rest from their duties in providing daily care for individuals, often family members, in order to prevent “burnout.” Patients in the program receive 24-hour nursing care and are placed under the supervision of the attending physician at the hospital. Those admitted may need minimal assistance or total care. Participants in the Respite Care program also have access to all hospital activities. The program is available for periods ranging from three to 30 days.

The program is available for a minimum of ten to fourteen days.

Springbrook offers respite to families that need a break from everyday care of a person with a disability (respite) and staff are available to assist. Through the Respite Program individuals may also participate in the Recreational Program and/or Social Club.
