Introducing the new
Delaware County STOP-DWI Dragsters and STOP-DWI Durango!
The full size dragster is 22 feet long and is owned and driven by Alisha Scaccia.
The 14’ Jr. Dragster is owned and driven by Casey Jo Scaccia. Both Casey Jo and
her sister Alisha are honor role students at Franklin Central School, Franklin,
NY.
These multi-award winning dragsters are head turners when they are seen in
parades, the Meredith Dairy Fest and the Delaware County Fair! The jr. dragster
is often used in the STOP-DWI school presentation, Setting Goals and Making the
Right Choices.
The dragsters are here to promote sober driving on any road! STOP-DWI reminds
you to ‘Think Before You Drink’.
The STOP-DWI Durango was
purchased with proceeds from DWI fines, from Scoville-Meno in Sidney, NY. The
addition of this vehicle has been such a positive asset to the program.
It was put to immediate use, carrying the many containers and boxes of supplies,
T-shirts, etc. that go along to various events throughout the year. And, aside
from the obvious, needed transportation to the many meetings, school assemblies,
court, events, etc., the Durango serves as a driving billboard. With its’ highly
visible signage, and flashy style, the Durango is a constant ‘presence’ in the
county as well as a continual reminder to not drink and drive.
