This 20 minute presentation dives into the meat of the issue; drunken driving crashes are NOT accidents! We all make hundreds of choices every day: what time to get up, what to wear, what to eat, etc. For our children there is pressure from many places; ‘friends’, TV just to name two. Our job as parents, role models and educators is to help our children understand the serious, sometimes deadly consequences of drinking as well as drinking and driving. At some point in a young person’s life, they will be tempted to drink. When that time comes, parents won’t be there, teachers won’t be there, I won’t be there. The choice will be theirs and theirs alone. Our hope is that we educate them enough, help them to care enough, to make the right choice.
